Aerolase Neo Elite · Laser skin treatment

If you've been told laser isn't for your skin, the wavelength is why.

Melanin at the surface of your skin absorbs laser energy before it reaches whatever the laser is meant to treat. The shorter the wavelength, the more it absorbs — which is where burns and dark marks come from. At 1064 nm, far less of it does.

Melanin absorption falls as wavelength rises

The Neo Elite runs at 1064 nm — the longest wavelength in common aesthetic use. Less surface absorption means less heat where you don't want it, which is what lowers the risk of burns and of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation on melanin-rich skin.

Designed and validated across all six Fitzpatrick skin types

Including types IV, V and VI — the skin most often turned away. Your provider still assesses your skin and your history before anything is switched on, because no laser is risk-free on any skin tone. That assessment is the treatment; the rest is just the device.

What it's used for

  • Acneseries of 4–6
  • Post-acne marks & pigmentationgradual
  • Melasmamanaged, not cured
  • Rosacea & facial rednessvessels respond well

The other half: a 650-microsecond pulse

Wavelength decides how much energy reaches the surface. Pulse duration decides what happens to it there. The Neo Elite delivers its energy in 650 microseconds — faster than heat can spread into surrounding tissue.

In practice that means no numbing cream, no cooling gel, and nothing pressed against skin that may already be inflamed. Most people describe a warm snap and go straight back to their day.

What we won't promise you

No laser is risk-free on any skin tone. A longer wavelength lowers the risk; it does not remove it. That's why we assess first and start conservatively.

Melasma is managed, not cured. It's chronic and relapsing by nature. A good plan can lighten it substantially and keep it quiet, but pregnancy, hormonal medication or a hard summer can bring it back.

Hair treatment is reduction, not removal. Only actively growing hair responds, so it takes a series — and grey, white and very fine blonde hair respond poorly, because the laser targets pigment.

If you have a recent tan, we'll ask you to wait. Freshly tanned skin raises the risk at any skin tone.

Individual results vary. This page is general information, not medical advice.

What a first visit looks like

A complimentary consultation, which is a conversation rather than a commitment. We look at your skin properly, take your history — including anything that's gone badly before — and give you a written plan with an exact quote. Many people are treated the same day. Plenty aren't, and that's fine.

If you've been turned away somewhere else, or had a result that set your pigmentation back, bring that with you. It changes how we plan.
